In the figure that depicts the evolution of a bacteria after being exposed to an antibiotic. And we have our um diagram here uh a labels on the first population of bacteria and four different colors here red, yellow, green and blue. And then we see it says treatment with an antibiotic in the middle area. All the red and green are ext out. So we can assume that those ext out ones are dead bacteria that have been killed by the antibiotic. And then we've got a bottom group that consists just of yellow and blue both of which have multiplied. And is that bottom group is labeled with A capital B. So our choices for identifiers are when we look at our four answer choices are bacterial population antibiotic resistant bacteria and dead bacteria. Well let's look up a choice A. That's prior to treatment antibiotics. So that's our general bacterial population. So bacterial population up here as capital A. And then we have treatment with the antibiotic with the extra ones being the dead bacteria. And then down at the bottom are Capital B. Well those are the ones that have survived and proliferated after treatment with it despite treatment with antibiotic. So those must be our anti biotic resistant bacteria. Oops I sit there so those are antibiotic resistant ones. So let's look at our answer choices and figure out which one shows those capital A. Capital B correctly labeled. Well here we are. Choice A. Has capital A bacterial population and capital B. Antibiotic resistant bacteria. So Choice A. Is correct. Um We can just double check our other answers to make sure Choice B. Has the two reversed with capital A. Label as the antibiotic resistant and capital be labeled as the general population. So choice be not correct and Choice C. And Choice D. Both have Capital A. Labeled as dead bacteria and that's clearly incorrect. So C. And D. Are not are correct answers. So again, choice A correctly labeled capital A. As bacterial population, Capital B.
