Well, let's recall from our content videos, there are two types of photo receptor cells in the human eye and those are rods and cones and rods are the cells responsible for the detection of light intensity, not color. So they help us see in low light. Um They responded light intensity but they don't detect colors. Cones are what's responsible for the detection of color. And they have light sensitive pigments that is responsible for that. And there are three types of them sensitive to either red, green or blue. So either the long medium or short wavelengths of light. So when we look at our answer choices, we see Choice A is coned and that is what we're looking for. Choice B is rod. But as we recalled, the rods are not responsible for color vision, but light intensity. That's not our answer and therefore Choice D. Which is both A. And B. Is not correct. And finally, Choice C. Says retinal ganglion cells. Well, these are the neurons that connect I to the visual processing center in the brain. So these are responsible for communicating those visual signals to our brain.
