hey everyone in this example we need to calculate the work when a sample of an ideal gas is compressed from six liters to 1.50 liters against an external pressure of 2.50 ATMs and were given the following conversion factor. So we want to first recall the formula where work is equal to the negative value for pressure times the difference in the volume or delta v. And so we want to recognize that the key word here is the word compressed. And so what the word compressed is telling us is that work is done.
