Hello everyone today. We have the following problem. Both bromo ethane and ethel lithium electrostatic potential maps are displayed. Which do you believe is which based on their polarity patterns? Well, as we see based on these two molecules, they only differ by one element. One has a broom in one has a lithium. And so as shown in these electrostatic potential maps, one has this electro negative polar end and one has an electro positive polar end according to our periodic trend, electro negativity increases as you go up and to the right of the periodic table. And so based on this principle, we can say that browning is more electro negative than lithium. And so if we were to examine both of these electrostatic maps, we could say that the negatively polarized region would be the red region. And if we look on our maps here we can see that that's going to represent or correlate with map A map A is going to be our borrow me bromo ethane because this red region here is only on one element and that's going to be our roaming. So if we look at our second map by default it will be ethyl lithium. And we can see that this one element here that has the blue portion which represents the electro positive or the less electro negative area, that one element is going to be because of lithium.
